There is a new top ranked team in the latest Radio Iowa/Baseball Coaches Association high school poll. The opening week of the season was slowed by rain but West Branch was able to stay busy. The Bears played seven games last week and won them all to take over as the new top ranked team in class 2A. Previously top ranked Dyersville Beckman falls to third. Cascade is second then its Beckman Algona Garrigan and Carlisle. Granville Spalding is top ranked in 1A, Lynnville Sully climbs a spot to second. Mason City Newman is up three spots to third. Lansing Kee and Rockford complete the top five. In 4A, West Des Moines Dowling is top ranked and the top five remains the same. Marshalltown is second then its Iowa City High, Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Indianola. And the top five remain the same in 3A, Fort Madison is top ranked followed by West Delaware, Cedar Rapids Xavier, Sioux City Heelan and South Tama.
