UNI coach says successful season could be a starting point for future success

Northern Iowa baseball coach Rick Heller hopes this season is just the beginning. The Panthers wrapped up their season with a loss to Rutgers, Saturday in the N-C-A-A regional in Lincoln, Nebraska, a season which saw them claim their first Missouri Valley Conference tournament title. He says they only lose three seniors off the team, but he says they have some good guys on the bench who can fill in.Heller says the season will be a plus on the recruiting trail. He says kids want to go to a program that’s winning.
