High school basketball coach moves on to college ranks

After four years as the head boy’s basketball coach at South O’Brien High School Craig Douma has resigned to become an assistant coach at Morningside College.Douma was an all stater at M-O-C/Floyd Valley High School and became an All-American at Northwestern College. He says this allows him to follow his dream of coaching in college.Morningside is making the transition from N-C-A-A division two to the N-A-I-A and with that several players from last year’s team have transferred to other schools. Douma says the first priority is to re-stock the roster.
