Governor says he’ll walk across the state again

Governor Tom Vilsack soon will embark on his second “walk” across the state. Vilsack will visit 20 communities during the last week of June.Vilsack will start in Avoca on June 25th, then visit Walnut, Marne, Atlantic, Corning, Prescott, Cromwell, Creston, Winterset, Patterson, Bevington, Martensdale, Chelsea, Belle Plaine, Luzerne, Blairstown, Camanche, Clinton, Folletta, Princeton and Le Claire. Vilsack will both walk and run the route, and he hopes the weather’s not as oppressive as it is today. He says it’s a great opportunity to listen, learn and appreciate Iowa from a different perspective.Vilsack says he’s looking forward to the quiet and solitude of a walk through rural Iowa.
