Cedar Rapids police are investigating a loud explosion that rocked aresidential area last night. The blast rattled windows on the southeastside about ten p-m. Dirt, grass and bits of metal were strewn about.Residents like Gloria Teague (teeg) were startled by the volume of the sound and alarmed at the apparent pipe bomb blast in their neighborhood. Teague talked to awitness who saw someone drop an object out of a car and speed away. No one was reported hurt. Police have no suspects.
