Leader changes in RI 1A baseball poll

There is a new top ranked team in the latest Radio Iowa/Baseball Coaches Association high school baseball poll. Winners of 18 of their first 20-games, Mason City Newman has climbed into the top spot in the latest 1A poll. Previously top ranked Granville Spalding drops a spot to second. Lynnville sully is third then its Lansing Kee and North Tama. The other top ranked teams remain the same. West Branch leads in class 2A, Dyersville Beckman is second. Carlisle, Hampton-Dumont and Cascade complete the top five. For the second straight week Cedar Rapids Xavier is top ranked in class 3A, Decorah is second and rounding out the top five its Atlantic, Sioux City Heelan and MOC Floyd valley. Iowa City High remains top ranked in class 4A. West Des Moines Dowling is second. Indianola, Sioux City West and Marshalltown complete the top five.
