Ceremony remembers missing TV anchor

June 27, 2001 By admin

A candlelight vigil will be held today on the sixth anniversary of the disappearance of Jodi Huisentruit. The KIMT-TV anchorwoman vanished in the early morning hours of June 27th 1995 outside of her apartment in Mason City. Regan Banks has organized the annual “Keep Hope Alive” event, which will take place at the T-V station. Banks says they’ll not only remember Huisentruit during the vigil, but other people who have been abducted and not been heard from since.Banks says 34 balloons will also be released during the event….27 yellow balloons for the 27th day of June and the warmth of the community’s heart…six white balloons, one for each year Huisentruit has been missing…and one red one for all the heart-felt love of the people missing around the world.
