Sullivan Brothers to be honored at Arlington National Cemetery

July 6, 2001 By admin

The five Sullivan brothers from Waterloo will be honored at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. A North Carolina veteran saw a cable documentary on the brothers last year and petitioned to have markers honoring the five brothers placed in Arlington. The five brothers all died together when their ship was sunk in the South Pacific during World War Two. The stones should be in place by September.
