An Iowa-based utility company has launched an on-line service enabling customers to do interactive energy audits of their homes. MidAmerican Energy spokesman Kevin Waetke says the Internet-based “Energy Analyzer” is a useful new tool to help save consumers money.Waetke says MidAmerican customers who use the website tool can create personalized energy saving action plans to take more control of their energy costs. He says homeowners need to plug in some information about their homes first so their energy usage can be compared to other similar homes. The program can be accessed at “www.midamericanenergy.com/homeaudit”.
