Congressman Leonard Boswell is co-sponsoring a bill that would create a new nationwide database for organs available for transplant. He says there is no uniform database to link data together.Boswell’s “Motor Donor Act” would link existing state and national data and provide states grants of up to 300-thousand dollars to establish or improve official organ donor registries. Boswell, a democrat from Davis City who’s moving to Des Moines, says he’s listed himself on his driver’s license as an organ donor.
