Von Maur stores have a new leader

July 25, 2001 By admin

A Davenport-based department store chain has a new president. Jim Von Maur replaced his brother Ric as president of the Von Maur department stores, a 129-year-old family-owned company. Jim says his brother left for other opportunities, but isn’t giving any details. He says customers won’t notice any changes at the company’s 14 stores, and adds the company plans to open new stores in the Midwest. New Von Maur stores will open next week in Minneapolis and Fort Wayne.
