A software company in Clear Lake that works for big companies like Nike and a company in Cresco that provides food ingredients to clients like Kraft have received state grants for expansion projects. Cresco Food Technologies is getting 75-thousand dollars in an expansion that will bring 25 new people on the payroll. Phil Thomas of the Iowa Department of Economic Development says the company not only sells its products to Kraft, but to Beatrice and General Mills, too.TeamQuest, a software company in Clear Lake, is getting 140-thousand dollars from the state. Thomas says the company’s planning to expand its corporate headquarters, and hire another 38 people.TeamQuest’s customers include Nike, 3M, Air France, Northwest Airlines, Chevron, Casey’s General Stores, Sprint and WorldCom.
