A LeClaire man is sentenced to five years in prison for his role in a fatal car accident. 26-year-old Roy Danny Quandt pleaded guilty in July to supplying alcohol to minors, resulting in death. He was charged in the March 24th crash in Bettendorf that killed 11-year-old Jessica Ballheimer of East Moline, Illinois. Quandt was accused of supplying beer to teens and let them drink at his home. One of the teens, 18-year-old Trisha Ann Schubert of Muscatine, was at the wheel. She pleaded guilty to homicide by vehicle last month and will be sentenced this week.
