Steam show puffs into Mt. Pleasant

The “Greatest Steam Show on Earth” is going on in Mount Pleasant.The Midwest Old Settlers and Threshers Reunion is underway for its 51st year, with steam-powered machinery, antique tractors and cars, a log village, trolleys, live music and an old-time tent show. The highlight of the show is dedication of a new pavilion with an 1894 steam-powered carousel nicknamed the “Smile Machine.”
