September 25, 2001 By admin

The executive director of the Mental Health Center of North Iowa will be heading to Washington D-C to help counsel victims of the Pentagon terrorist attack. Ken Zimmerman has been summoned by the Red Cross, but he will not know all his duties until he gets to Washington. For many years Zimmerman has been working with Red Cross disaster relief teams in providing counseling after traumatic events, like the floods of 1993.Zimmerman expects to see people in all different stages on their road to recovery. Zimmerman expects many of those people to be only in the early stages of recovery. Zimmerman leaves Saturday and expects to be gone for two weeks.
