Accused Infant Killer Won’t Go To Trial Today

A new date and location are set for the murder trial of an eastern Iowateenager, accused of killing her newborn child. 18-year-old Nicole Plum ofChelsea was to go on trial today but the date’s been moved back to January28th. Due to pre-trial publicity, the case will be heard in Cerro GordoCounty, not Tama County. Plum was charged with killing her newborn daughterin February. The child, dubbed Baby Chelsea, was found in the snow near thetown’s water tower.
