State anthrax to remain under guard

October 12, 2001 By admin

Governor Tom Vilsack says the anthrax in Iowa will remain under guard until
federal officials draft new, nationwide procedures for handling and storing the material. He says such a protocol apparently does not now exist.
Vilsack had a long conversation with an F-B-I official based in Omaha. The official told him there was no investigation linking the Florida anthrax cases to Iowa.
