Northwood manufacturing business closes

October 26, 2001 By admin

A manufacturing business in northern Iowa has closed its doors. Partridge River Holdings of Superior Wisconsin today announced that Northwood Doors Incorporated would discontinue the manufacture of wood cabinet doors and other wood products at it’s Northwood facility as of yesterday. Company President Andrew Richey says the move was warranted by the unexpected loss of their major customer, which Richey would not disclose. Northwood Doors was located in the former Fieldstone Cabinets building, starting in December of 1999 with about 60 full-time employees. Plans were made earlier this year to expand production capacity and add another 60 jobs.
