Nine of the 18 states suing Microsoft in the anti-trust case signed settlement agreements yesterday, but Iowa was not among them. Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller says he needs more time to weigh the options. Bob Brammer, Miller’s spokesman, says his boss hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a settlement, but wants to be sure an agreement accomplishes what he wants.Brammer says Miller wants the spirit of the original federal court to be followed.Brammer says negotiations with Microsoft over the past several days have been fruitful in many respects, with the computer software giant making many concessions.Brammer expects Miller to make a final decision on whether to accept the settlement or carry on with the lawsuit by the end of the week.
