The 56th meeting between Iowa and Drake is tonight in Iowa City. The 15th ranked Hawkeyes are 6-3 after an impressive win at Iowa State and coach Steve Alford expects another tough matchup against the Bulldogs. He says they’re very impressive and have been shooting the basketball well.Alford says stopping Drake junior center Greg Danielson will be a key. Alford says Danielson plays hard with a lot of passion.Drake is 4-2 and coach Kurt Kanaskie says his team will have to play a smart game to have a chance on the road. He says even in games that they’ve won, they let teams come back on them. Kanaskie says they have to learn from games they win and games they lose.Kanaskie calls this his best Drake team but says to win at Iowa it will take a great effort on defense and on the boards.Kanaskie says U-N-I’s victory last week over the Hawkeyes will make their job even more difficult, because they’ll be ready to go.
