As 2002 approaches, the state Department of Economic Development is rolling out its new edition of the Iowa Travel Guide. This year’s publication is 186-pages long and provides a comprehensive list of Iowa events and attractions. Shawna Lode at the Iowa Tourism office says the Travel Guide is an essential trip-planning tool for some 350-thousand people who request copies every year — both Iowans and out-of-staters.Lode says if you have last year’s Travel Guide, you’ll still want to order the latest edition.The guide can be yours free by calling 800-345-IOWA or by logging on to: “www.traveliowa.com”.
