Iowa Insurance Division spokesman Scott Kinney says Iowans can make a claim as part of a nationwide effort. He says the National Association of Insurance Commissioners is working with European insurers on claims that were not filed during the Holocaust. Kinney says February 15th of this year is the deadline for filing a claim.Kinney says you can call toll-free at 800-957-3203, or go on-line at www.icheic.org to get an information packet. The packet will have a questionnaire you can fill out and send in to find out if you have a policy available. Kinney says the state is working with 15 families that’ve already filed claims. If you have more questions, Kinney says you can contact the state office at 877-955-1212.
