The man who coordinates the “Rock In Prevention” school mentoring program in Iowa has written and recorded a song about September 11th. Pat McManus wrote “Nine-Eleven Stand Tall America” about three weeks after the attacks.The song was released in December and McManus says CDs can be purchased statewide for six dollars.The song is available at all Hy-Vee stores in Iowa, or it can be ordered online at “w-w-w-dot-rock-in-prevention-dot-org”. Proceeds raised from the sale of “Nine-Eleven Stand Tall America” go to the Des Moines-based “Rock In Prevention” Program. McManus explains the program trains local high school mentors who go into elementary schools and teach children to say “no” to drugs and alcohol. McManus says “Rock In Prevention” has helped more than 600-thousand young Iowans since it was started in 1990. Here’s a portion of the song:
