President Bush carried through with his trip to the Quad Cities today despite an episode yesterday in which he passed out after choking on a pretzel. Bush spoke to workers at the John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, Illinois and said he is “feeling great.”Bush says he’s taking a trip down the Mississippi to highlight a couple of issues. One, “reminding America about how important the food and fiber system is to our economy.” He says those who grow and harvest food are incredibly important to our country. He says job creation is another issue on which he’ll focus. Bush says we need to make sure we create jobs.Bush is traveling downriver to Missouri after his Quad City visit, and then on to New Orleans.
