Group of farmers seeks profitable environmental practices

A group called “Practical Farmers of Iowa” is wrapping up their annual meeting today in Ames. Robert Karp is the executive director of the group.He says the members of the group are involved in on-farm research to develop more profitable and environmentally sound practices. Karp says the annual meeting features several workshops the group’s 630 members can attend.He says the members of the organization are typical Iowa farmers, from small farms to large.
