Northwestern looks for another title

The Northwestern College men’s basketball team is back in the national picture this season. The Red Raiders are 18-3 on the season and ranked fourth in the latest N-A-I-A division-two top 25. Northwestern coach Kris Korver accomplished what every coach dreams of when he led the Raiders to the national championship in his first season as head coach. He says people ask him what he’s going to do for an encore, and he says there’s still room for improvement.A solid nucleus is back from last year, and Korver says the group has remained highly motivated.Northwestern leads the Great Plains Athletic Conference and Korver says the balance in the league race is a benefit during post-season play.Dordt College is ranked 20th and Briar Cliff is 23rd in the latest poll.
