Accused killer Donald Boss of Remsen was denied a lower bond today in theslaying of his adopted ten-year-old son, Timothy, about two years ago. Thebody was found buried in the basement of the northwest Iowa home a few weeksago after Boss told police where to dig. Boss, who’s 37-years-old, maintainshe’s innocent and he’s trying to shift the blame toward his wife, Lisa, according to public defender Mike Williams. Williams says Donald Boss toldjailers cigarette butts belonging to Lisa Boss would be found in the burialsite. Investigators -did- find at least one cigarette butt in the dirt withthe child’s remains. Donald Boss has agreed to provide investigators withsamples of his own D-N-A which he claims will prove he didn’t smoke thecigarettes. County attorney Darin Raymond says Boss was hoping for a lowerbond as he’s been held in the Plymouth County Jail on 250-thousand dollarsbond since January. The judge denied the bond reduction today, saying DonaldBoss’ cooperation was outweighed by the serious nature of the charge.
