Des Moines woman facing endangerment charges

A Des Moines woman is in jail and her stepson is in the hospital. Thesix-year-old boy was rushed to a Des Moines hospital yesterday with severehead injuries. Charles Green is listed in critical condition. Hisstepmother, 27-year-old Shalonda Green, was arrested late last night onchild endangerment charges. Des Moines police say the boy was a “specialneeds” child who had suffered previous injuries, while a police news releasesays the most recent injuries were caused by being repeatedly kicked. Healso had surgical staples in his head from allegedly falling down the stairslast week.
