Contest lets you win a trip to one of the 50 states

The U-S Postal Service’s introduction of the “Greetings from America” 50 state stamps Thursday also included a contest. Not only can you buy a stamp from each of the 50 states, you may be able visit the sights shown on the stamps. Trips to each of the 50 states are being given away in an effort to reinvigorate the U-S travel industry that was hit hard by the September 11th terrorist attacks. Iowa Tourism Division Administrator, Nancy Landess says all you have to do is register at www.seeamerica.com to be eligible to win one of the trips.Landess says the winners will be chosen in July and while have until August of 2003 to make their trips. Landess helped put together the package for the Iowa trip. She suggests the winner start on the west side of the state and travel to the east, visiting all sorts of attractions on the way.She say 50 attractions and restaurants in the state have donated gifts for the Iowa visit. Landess says the free trips will include airfare, hotel accommodations and use of a rental car.
