Debate on livestock bill delayed

April 5, 2002 By admin

Today was the day the Iowa Senate had been scheduled to debate the bill that’d establish new state regulations for livestock operations, but Senate Republican Leader Stewart Iverson of Dows says it’ll happen next week — at least that’s his intention. He says it’s unfortunate that some people are saying things are falling apart. Iverson says there have been a few “bumps in the road.” Iverson says he can’t promise when the bill will come forward, but says it’ll be as soon as possible.
