Two injured in Attica shooting

State and local officials are investigating an early-morning shooting in south-central Iowa. The Marion County Sheriff’s office says the shooting happened after a break-in at a rural Marion County home near Attica. An unknown person entered the home and struggled with the residents when the shots were fired. The residents of the home Tim Degueest and his wife Rhonda, are hospitalized in stable condition. No arrests have been made, and officials are asking for the public to call with any information on the case.
