Sioux City students are top dogs in contest

May 2, 2002 By admin

Students at a Sioux City elementary schools are relishing a 10-thousand dollar prize thanks to their ability to ham it up in a musical contest. Students at Riverview Elementary won a talent contest for their version of the Oscar Mayer Weiner jingle and the Oscar Mayer Bologna song. Oscar Mayer representative Katie Clark drove the check to the school in the “Weinermobile.” The kids entered a video of their song and were chosen as the best school in Iowa. The kids will now go on to compete with schools from the other states for the grand prize, which is a chance to appear in a t-v commercial.
