Boy’s golf tourney underway today

The Boy’s State Golf Tournament runs today and tomorrow with the 3A meet in Carroll, 2A in Panora and 1A in Ankeny. The Belle Plaine boys are making their third straight trip to State in class 2A. Veteran coach Chuck LaMaak says this is a senior-dominated team that’ll be ready to play, rain or shine.LaMaak says the goals this team set out came, one event at a time, this year. LaMaak says it’s a two-day tournament, but you have to start strong to stay in the hunt.The Plainsmen were third last year, and they return pretty much their entire team.
