Day two will decide boy’s track champions

The Boys’ State Track Meet continues at Drake Stadium in Des Moines. John Martenson has results of the action Friday.The leader after the first day in class 4A is Fort Dodge with 14 points, followed by City High of Iowa City. Central Dewitt leads in class 3A with 17 points followed by Atlantic with 10. In class 2A Monticello is the leader with 11, followed by Preston with 10. In class 1A, defending champion Madrid leads with 15 and Pleasantville is second with 10. Carroll’s Adam Huluska set a state record in the 100 meters with a time of 10-point-seven-six.
