It was a quick win for a softball hurler this weekend. Hampton-Dumont junior Amy Silver faced just ten batters, striking out 9 of them on route to a no-hitter in the Lady Bulldogs’ 27-0 win over Aplington-Parkersburg in 3 innings Monday night. Hampton-Dumont scored 23 times in the second inning and stole a total of 20 bases in their season opener. Aplington-Parkersburg will try to rebound today in their home opener versus NU High, while Hampton Dumont plays at Fort Dodge St Edmund.
