Legislators gaveled into “special session” at 10 o’clock this morning.The House and Senate are meeting to pass bills that’ll erase 400-million dollars of red ink in the state budget plan that covers the next 13 months. Senate Republican Leader Stewart Iverson of Dows says today’s no picnic, as they have difficult decisions to make.Iverson concedes the cuts are unpopular as no one likes to take less money.Iverson says republicans know the cuts won’t be easy to implement, even though the governor has said he’ll sign the bill.
