ISU to play at least two home games under new lights

Iowa State University’s football team will play at least two home games at night this season.ISU associate athletic director for media relations, Tom Kroeschell, says they’ll play Tennessee Tech September seventh, and Troy State September 21st beginning at six o’clock under newly installed lights. Kroeschell says crews will begin installing the permanent lights next week. He says it’s part of a lot of changes that include a new scoreboard with a giant video screen.ISU has played 12 night games in Ames under temporary lights — with a 9-3 record. Kroeschell says they’ve proven very popular with fans who can do things during the day before going to the game.Iowa State opens the season with a night game August 24th against Florida State in Kansas City.
