Hundreds of campers will flood the state parks this weekend, and many parks already have the “full” sign on their campgrounds. Department of Natural Resources spokesman Ross Harrison’s voice is on the agency’s recorded message about the park system.Sixty-three state parks offer camping. Almost six thousand spaces are up for grabs, on a first-come, first-served basis. If you don’t have a tent or R-V, cabins for up to six campers are available at eight state parks, but the recorded message has some crucial info. It’ll tell you the cabins are pretty bare. Renters have to bring their own bedding, bath towels and kitchenware.
