Brooklyn looking to sell its bridge

July 16, 2002 By admin

The “Brooklyn Bridge” is for sale on the Internet — the bridge in Brooklyn, Iowa, not the one in New York. Mayor Jim Rhinehart says a new bridge has been built to replace the original, which they call the Brooklyn Bridge. The bridge is for sale on E-Bay. The Mayor says the steel-framed bridge is in good shape, and ready for a move. Rhinehart says if you’re interested, act fast. Bidding has been extended to early next week, but if there’s no bidder, the construction company that now owns it will cut the bridge up and move it.
