Governor responds to attack by opponent

Democrat Governor Tom Vilsack says his Republican opponent is using “Arthur Anderson” style accounting tricks when he suggests the state has a one-billion dollar budget deficit.Vilsack says Gross’ computations are wrong, as he says there’s 847-million dollars in various accounts reserve accounts.Gross says the state has used money from state reserve accounts to cover everyday expenses, like teacher salaries, and those loans must be repaid quickly.
