Knoxville uses shut out to advance to 3A title game

Knoxville downed Mt. Pleasant 6-0 to advance to the 3A championship game. Knoxville got four runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back in the win. Knoxville pitcher Brian Joynt went all the way for the win, striking out three, while scattering three hits. Knoxville will face Davenport Assumption. Assumption used 19 hits to down Oelwein 12-4 in a game that was delayed by rain. The 3A championship is a 3:30 today.
