Authorities say they’ve solved the slaying of a northwest Iowa woman. Police in the town of Rock Valley have charged 51-year-old Phil Termaat with first-degree murder. The body of his estranged wife was found Thursday on a walking trail by a pedestrian. 44-year-old Melinda Persons-Termaat, of Rock Valley, had reportedly been strangled.
