Clinton County voters rejected a three million dollar bond issue Tuesday that could’ve brought another five million in Vision Iowa money for a series of riverfront projects. The plan needed 60-percent of the vote and only got 47-percent in the countywide vote, though in the city of Clinton, it won 64-percent. Supporters say they’ll consider other options to develop the riverview plan, which includes improvements to the baseball stadium, showboat theatre, swimming pool, band shell, marina and other projects.
