A partnership between Buena Vista University in Storm Lake and Des Moines Area Community College will allow students in Newton to complete four-year college degrees. Buena Vista University operates similar programs throughout the state, but it’s the first time they’ve had a partnership with DMACC. DMACC president David England says it’s important to offer college courses at convenient locations.Buena Vista University president Fred Moore says B-V-U will offer majors in management, psychology, and human services at the Newton center.
