Former Iowa player Benny Sapp made his Panther debut. Sapp saw extensive playing time after the first quarter. Sapp received a standing ovation from the UNI-Dome crowd when he made his first trip on the field to return a punt. Sapp says he didn’t know what to think, and loves the fans. Sapp was kicked off the Hawkeye squad after his arrest for publicintoxication. He says Cedar Falls proved to be the best place to start over.
