Davenport child dies after fall from appartment window

October 3, 2002 By admin

A child has died in Davenport after being the second recently to fall from a window. Fifteen-month old Hunter Lawrence lived with his mother in the Schricker Apartments on Davenport’s west side. It was about 5:30 last night when someone called 9-1-1 to say the toddler had fallen from a third-floor window to the concrete sidewalk below. Taken to a local hospital, he died an hour later. The window the boy fell from is in a different apartment from the one the family lived in, and police continue to investigate. It’s just five weeks since an 18-month-old girl fell from a second-floor window at a different apartment in west Davenport. Alexis Maginnis survived and has been released from the hospital.
