A top film star’s visiting Iowa — perhaps the most famous woman acting in movies made in India Actress Manisha Koirala will be making a stop in Fairfield, Iowa tomorrow as part of a North American tour to promote her latest film, Escape from Taliban, based on the best-selling novel of how an Indian woman, married to an Afghan, was abused in Afghanistan during the Taliban regime. Ms. Koirala is also the granddaughter of the Prime Minister of Nepal and has used her talent to showcase varied and diverse stories of women¹s struggles in different societies and situations around the world. Koirala will talk about her career, which includes more than 100 films, Saturday night at the MSAE school auditorium in Fairfield.
