A high-profile murder trial in northwest Iowa is taking a long weekend break. A jury may decide next week whether a ten-year-old boy’s father caused his death and is guilty of murder. Prosecutors wrapped up the evidence portion Thursday after their 21st witness testified in the trial of 38-year-old Donald Boss of Remsen. Jurors were told the trial could last four weeks but a new estimate from the judge indicates the case is moving more quickly than expected. The defense will open its case on Tuesday and it should go to the jury before the end of next week.
