December 18, 2002 By admin

A verdict has been returned in the case of a central Iowa man accused of killing a child.A Marshalltown jury last night found Benjamin Arends guilty of involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment without serious injury.

That 22-year-old was charged with first-degree murder in the shaking death of his girlfriend’s two-year-old son, Jesse Snyder, in November of 2001.
