Iowa football coach Kirk Ferentz met with the media Friday to talk about the upcoming trip to the Orange Bowl. The team hasn’t played a game since their win over Minnesota November 16th, but Ferentz doesn’t see that as a negative. He says it’s given them a good break and they’ll be ready to return to business now. The players wrapped up their finals on Friday and Ferentz says they’ll return home Sunday to spend Christmas with their families before meeting in Miami the day after Christmas. As for the coaches, Ferentz says they have a busy week ahead breaking down the game film of their opponent, U-S-C, and then preparing a gameplan. He say they hope to find some time to Christmas shop, which he says may be tough, but he says they don’t mind the busy time.Iowa meets the Trojans in the Orange Bowl on January 2nd.
